There are duct tapes and then there is Tenacious Tape. This is the tape we use for repairing hiking clothes, sleeping bags and -pads, tents, drybags and other equipment. Clean and easy repair with an ultra-agressive adhesive gives a solid repair even for hardwearing spots.

Use Tenacious Tape also for repairing waterproof breathable clothes, as it is waterproof. No special Gore-Tex tape required. Personally, we pack a set of patched cut from Tenacious tape and a few meters of duct tape for more crude repairs. This will get you out of trouble in most gear setbacks. The tape is machine washable after 24 hours.
